Penny wants to share Trisha's Prayer:
I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year, "Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown."
And he replied, "Go into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way!"

Our love and thoughts are with you Paul & Penny.
ReplyDeleteKeep on getting better.
David and Dom Maclellan
Penny, we have only known you & Paul for a very short time, but feel we have known you for years. Both of you were incredibly kind in getting out daughter Juliet on her feet for her start in London.
ReplyDeleteFor other readers Penny called us on the day of the accident to say that as a result they would not be able to join us on our gulet in Turkey this May.
I just wanted to say that the space is still there and will remain so, we want you both to come if progress allows, and nothing would please us more than to have Paul recuperating in the sun on board. I hope it can be a target to aim towards in the difficult weeks ahead. If not we’ll catch up on the west coast later in the summer.
Penny, we are thinking of you all every day, and just hoping for good progress now. Our thoughts and love are with you.
Peter, Jenny & Juliet (you haven’t met the rest yet!)
I wonder if you could just pass on a message to Penny that my wife, Julia, and I are thinking of them and we hope to see them all come sailing into the bay soon. If there is anything that we can do for them up in Scotland then she only has to ask.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Jonathan Peill, Salen Hotel
We have known Paul for only a short time, but in this time he came across as being courageous, never sitting still and living life to the full. Whatever your place in life he takes us on the same playing field, seeing the best in us all.
ReplyDeleteWe wish Paul a speedy recovery and to all his family and friends that are waiting for him, strength and courage.
Best Wishes, Carl, Lisa, Martha, Daisy, Toffee and Tyra.
Sending lots of love and best wishes to you both. Anything at all that we can do, you know where to find us. Rosemary & Cliff @ Laudale xxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteSending love and prayers for you both, Penny and Paul, and for Will and Charlotte. Please know that Chicago is praying for you too. I hope that you feel the energy of all the positive thoughts of those who love you. I am very appreciative of Ted's efforts to establish this blog so that we can follow Paul's progress. With all love, Susan
ReplyDeleteI am a former colleague who has known Paul for a short time, but wanted to send him and his family my prayers and good wishes for Paul's recovery and safe return home; he is one of the nicest persons one could ever work for and I wish him well. All the very best, Pimmi Pande-Jones

ReplyDeleteWe were sorry to hear the news about Paul and wish him all the best for his recovery. I will not tell Mum, you and her are just as bad as each other due to the financial situation in England she decided not to let you know of her hospital stay. She has just come home attached to an oxygen concentrating machine (named THomas by her) as she gets used to it no doubt she will begin venturing from home. Short walks are the only outings at present. Hopefully in six months to a year she may have three to six hours per day off the machine. With to you all Love Susan, Bill, Stuart, Kristen, Louise and Nicole. ps I am anonymous because I am not sure what a URL is.

ReplyDeleteMum now knows about Paul's accident she was speaking to Jocelyn on the phone last night. Her and Dad's thoughts and wishes are with you, she has posted a short letter to you this morning. She has said that you are to remember that she is just at the end of the phone line and is impressed that the news has been kept from her for so long but said that she is well on the road to recovery and that news whether good or bad shouldn't be kept from her. I hope that you have a good visit with Paul. Love Susan
