News, Good Wishes and Prayers for Paul's Health and Safe Recovery
Paul's Accident
Paul suffered a severe head injury while skiing in Lech, Austria on Wednesday, February 18th. He was treated in a hospital in Feldkirch, Austria within about 40 minutes of the accident. He was sedated in an induced coma. On March 17th, he was moved to a neurological rehabilition hospital in Rankweil, about 7km from Feldkirch.
He was skiing with his son Will and hit a sign after passing though a snow shower from a snow machine. He suffered a severe injury despite his helmet. There were doctors in the next group of skiers who tended him on the spot and the snow machine operator was able to call a medivac helicopter to the scene immediately which was probably crucial. He was conscious initially, lapsed unconscious shortly thereafter.
On June 22, Paul was released and walked out on his own feet with Penny into a taxi to take him to a rehabilitation center in Allensbach Germany. He has since returned to home in England where he continues to recuperate.

Mistaken for a Waiter (Twice)
Dad in His Famous Dinner Jacket
The story goes Mum and Dad were at a big Argyllshire wedding last year, when at dinner, as Dad was walking to find his table, he was tapped on the shoulder by one of the wedding guests and told in no uncertain fashion that some of their first course plates were missing. Dad in quick response replied, "Sir, leave it with me". He then strode across the ballroom floor to the kitchens and told the staff that table no. x was missing several plates. He then returned to table x, and said, "Sir, I think you will find your first course will be here soon". He then went and sat down at his table. A little later on in the evening, he got up, went over to the guest in question, put out his hand, and said "How do you do, my name is Paul Hilton, what is yours?".
